IN LOVING MEMORY
FBA, FBCA, RARITIES, ARBA, IABCA Ch. Hill Country's Major Hazard , TT Excellent, ("Cody")
Cody's accomplishments are too numerous to list, as evidenced by his multiple championships. Despite the fact that he does not particularly like the show ring, he excels despite himself. He earned his first championship at the age of 18 months with the IABCA. Next came ARBA, FBCA, Rarities, and finally the FBA. Cody is only the 4th dog to earn an FBA Championship, and he did that in two years. At the 2001 FBA Fall Circuit, Cody earned all 4 CAC's and was awarded the Davy Deffinbaugh Memorial Trophy. At the 2002 FBA Fall Circuit, Cody was able to earn his final CAC in the first show under French FCI Judge.
In talking about his accomplishments, we can't forget a very important aspect of the Fila, and that is the temperament. Cody TT'ed (temperament tested) excellent with FBCA early on, and then went on to prove that a stable dog can and does have "ojeriiza" by placing "High in Trial" (best temperament) male at the FBCA 2001 Nationals, and most recently at the FBCA Working Weekend, February 22-23, 2003.
He is a very important part of our family and a great example of the Fila breed. We are proud to have him in our home and look forward to showing off some of his remarkable offspring in the show ring.
